Golf enthusiasts and fans raised over $30K to support breast cancer research in Houston at the Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation’s Swing for the Cure on Monday, April 23rd at Sweetwater Country Club. The annual golf tournament teams began their day on teh green with a putting contest, followed by a shot gun start to kick-off the tournament. Along the course, participants competed for honors such as Best Ball, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
Golfers had the opportunity to make an additional donation for the chance to use the “Amazing Eagle” golf ball launcher on a par 4 which enabled players to hit golf balls over 300 yards. At the conclusion of the tournament, attendees enjoyed a cash bar cocktail hour, awards ceremony, along with door prizes, a satisfying dinner and raffle istems such as a Yetil cooler filled with liquor, gift cards to Mia Bella and CAVO coffee and a round of golf for four at Quail Valley and Sweetwater Country Club that made the night a hole in one!
