The Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation hosted its 18th Annual Luncheon with celebrity guest speaker Dorothy Hamill at the Hilton Americas – Houston.
Guests mingled amidst the silent auction items before enjoying a delicious lunch and listening to Hamill’s powerful journey of her battle against breast cancer. The luncheon also featured a special presentation of the Spirit of Courage Award to Melonee Piperi, a remarkable individual who has won the fight against breast cancer.
The $120,000 proceeds from the luncheon were donated to breast cancer research projects in Houston at the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Department of Nanomedicine at Houston Methodist Research Institute.
